I am deeply concerned that the DNR has pulled the licence to allow Dr Rogers to continue his research and I only wish there was a way that I could be more useful in convincing this body of his utter professionalism. His research is a long term project and is teaching the entire planet about the world of black bears and their habitat in a way that we can all learn so much from. Trust-based research must surely be encouraged and not regarded as suspect. I have seen the reasons given for their decision and can only say that from my experience none of them seem to justify pulling the research licence. Indeed none of them seem credible.
From the ends of the earth I encourage people to show support for Dr Rogers and the excellent, professional and necessary work he is doing with this research and I ask the DNR to have another look at their decision, based on actual truths and facts this time around.
